Pavani Parameswara Rao was a Senior Advocate practising in the Supreme Court of India. Widely considered a doyen of Constitutional Law, he had argued a number of landmark cases before the Supreme Court. He died on 13 September 2017 in a private hospital in South Delhi following a cardiac arrest, India.

๐ŸŒŸ Born on 5 August 1933 in Mogalicherla Village, Prakasam District, Andhra Pradesh, Pavani Parameswara Rao completed his BA at V.R. College, Nellore, followed by an LL.B. and LL.M. from Osmania University, Hyderabad, setting a strong academic foundation.

In 1961, Rao began teaching law at the University of Delhi, before enrolling as an Advocate at the Bar Council of Delhi in 1967 and quickly moving to practice in the Supreme Court.
3By February 1969, he became an Advocate-on-Record, representing the State of Andhra Pradesh and the Central Government, and was designated Senior Advocate by the Supreme Court in August 1976.
4๐ŸŽฏ In 1991, he was elected President of the Supreme Court Bar Association, a post reflecting his standing among peers in one of India's most challenging legal arenas.
