Acharya Gogineni Ranga Nayukulu, also known as N. G. Ranga, was an Indian freedom fighter, classical liberal, parliamentarian and farmers' leader. He was the founding president of the Swatantra Party, and an exponent of the peasant philosophy.

In 1926, N. G. Ranga returned from Oxford University with a BLitt in Economics and began teaching at Pachaiyappa's College, Madras, where he shifted his ideology from Marxism after witnessing Stalinist repression of peasants.

🌾 In 1933, Ranga led the Ryot Agitation in Andhra, persuading Gandhi himself to support peasants fighting against zamindari oppression, an alliance that helped spread peasant movements across India.
3In 1934, he established the first Andhra Farmers’ School in his native Nidubrolu, applying British Labour Party methods to educate peasants in political awareness and rights.
