Mannathu Padmanabha Pillai, better known as Mannathu Padmanabhan was an Indian social reformer and agitator from the south-western state of Kerala. He is recognised as the founder of the Nair Service Society (NSS), which represents the Nair community. His birthday is observed as Mannam Jayanti every year. Padmanabhan is considered a visionary reformer who organised the Nair community under the NSS.

In 1914, in Perunna village of Kottayam, Mannathu Padmanabhan founded the Nair Service Society (NSS) with a small group of associates to organize and uplift the Nair community, marking a pivotal moment in Kerala's social reform landscape.

3๐Ÿ•‰ In 1924, Padmanabhan actively participated in the Vaikom Satyagraha, demanding temple entry rights and the opening of public roads for lower castes, even opening his own family temple to all castes, directly challenging untouchability.
