Lala Lajpat Rai was an Indian revolutionary, politician, and author, popularly known as Punjab Kesari. He was one of the three members of the Lal Bal Pal trio. He died of severe trauma injuries sustained in October 1928 during a baton charge by police in Lahore, when he led a peaceful protest march against the all-British Simon Commission.

The Story

In 1880, Lala Lajpat Rai enrolled at Government College in Lahore, where he met future patriots like Lala Hans Raj and joined the Arya Samaj, planting the seeds of his reformist and nationalist ideas.

🌟 By 1886, Rai had moved to Hisar, founded the Hisar Bar Council, and helped establish the Dayananda Anglo-Vedic School, marking his early blend of legal practice and educational activism.
3In 1892, he shifted to Lahore to practice law before the High Court, while also launching the Lahore-based Arya Gazette, a platform that amplified nationalist sentiments through journalism.
4⚔️ Alongside Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Bipin Chandra Pal, Rai formed the famed Lal-Bal-Pal trio, aggressively pushing for Poorna Swaraj and a more radical stance against British colonialism in the early 1900s.
