Kuzhur Narayana Marar was an Indian musician, considered to be one of the masters of Panchavadyam. He was awarded Padmabhushan by Government of India for his contributions to the propagation of Panchavadyam in 2010. He is the first Panchavadyam exponent to receive Padmabhushan award.

In 1944, at the age of 19, Kuzhur Narayana Marar made his debut as a thimila player at the prestigious Thrissur Pooram festival, marking the start of over four decades of performances there.

🎶 Alongside his brothers Kuttappa Marar and Chandran Marar, he formed the Kuzhur triumvirate, pioneering a distinctive style of Panchavadyam that became a hallmark of Kerala’s temple festivals.
3By 1991, he had earned the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award, spotlighting his mastery in percussion arts within the state's classical music circles.
4🏆 In 2005, he was honored with the Pallavur Appu Marar Puraskaram, linking him to a lineage of celebrated percussionists known for shaping Kerala’s rhythmic traditions.
