Kapildev Ramlal Nikhanj is an Indian former cricket team captain. Regarded as one of the greatest all-rounders in the history of cricket, he was a fast-medium bowler and a hard-hitting middle-order batsman. Dev is the only player in the history of cricket to have taken more than 400 wickets and scored more than 5,000 runs in Test cricket.

In 1983, at 24, Kapil Dev captained India to a historic Cricket World Cup victory at Lord's, defeating the two-time defending champions West Indies in a stunning upset. 3. ๐Ÿ”ฅ Kapil Dev's unbeaten 175 against Zimbabwe during the 1983 World Cup set a world record for the highest individual score in an ODI World Cup at the time, rescuing India from 17/5. 4.
