In 1942, Sam Manekshaw was commissioned into the British Indian Army, beginning his military career amid the chaos of World War II in the jungles of Burma, where survival demanded more than just strategy.

🎖️ By 1971, as Chief of Army Staff, Manekshaw defied political pressure and warned Prime Minister Indira Gandhi that India was not ready for war, showcasing his blend of candor and strategic patience before the Bangladesh Liberation War erupted.
