Chinna Jeeyar, more formally known as Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swami, is a Thenkalai Sri Vaishnava Indian religious guru and yogi ascetic known for his spiritual discourses and the propagation of Ramanuja Vishishtadvaita darshana. He operates spiritual centers in India and the US. He is the designer and planner of the Statue of Equality, a statue dedicated to Ramanujacharya, in Hyderabad, India. Recently, he has also unveiled the Statue of Union, a 90ft statue of Hanuman, located in Sugar Land, Texas, in the United States.

The Story

In 1956, on the auspicious day of Diwali in Arthamuru near Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swami was born into a Telugu Vedic family, setting the stage for his future as a spiritual leader.

🌱 At age 23, in 1979, he took the ascetic vow of Sannyasa, stepping into the sacred role of a Jeeyar, a monk lineage dedicated to Ramanuja’s Vishishtadvaita philosophy.
3By 1981, after the passing of his grandfather and mentor Pedda Jeeyar Swami, he became the head of Srimad Ubhaya Vedantha Acharya Peetam in Nadigaddapalem, Andhra Pradesh, guiding the spiritual path for thousands.
4🛕 In 2018, he was the chief architect behind the Statue of Equality in Hyderabad, a 216-foot monument honoring Ramanujacharya’s teachings, blending ancient philosophy with modern monumental art.
