Brihaspati Dev Triguna (1920–2013) was a Vaidya or Ayurveda practitioner and an expert in Pulse diagnosis. He completed his formal ayurvedic studies under the guidance of Rajvaidya Pandit Gokul Chand ji in his Gurukul from Ludhiana.

The Story

In 1920, Brihaspati Dev Triguna was born in Bara Pind village, Jalandhar District, Punjab, where he later trained under Rajvaidya Pandit Gokul Chand ji in Ludhiana’s Gurukul, mastering the ancient art of Pulse diagnosis (Nadi vaidyam).

🌍 During the post-independence era, Triguna established his main Ayurvedic practice behind Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station at Sarai Kale Khan, attracting patients worldwide and opening clinics across Europe.
3In 1992, the Government of India awarded him the Padma Bhushan, recognizing his efforts in standardizing Ayurvedic medicine and education across the country.
4👑 Triguna served as personal physician to the President of India and chaired the Central Council for Research on Ayurveda, steering institutional reforms in Ayurvedic certifications and research.
